With this pedestal you can choose from joint thicknesses of 2 mm or 4 mm .
While the use of 4 mm joints is mandatory for public areas (e.g. schools), there are no restrictions for private areas.
Your individual taste decides here! Of course, with the very narrow 2 mm joint you can create a beautifully elegant joint pattern on your terrace.

The joint bars can of course simply be broken off to enable installation in a bond or the formation of edge areas.
To do this, you use simple flat-nose pliers. The figure below illustrates this process:

The height of the joint bars is 1.3 cm and is therefore significantly below the terrace level.
Accordingly, these are no longer visible after installation.

Occasionally it may be necessary to compensate for unevenness in the pedestals.
This is done with this pedestal using our tried and tested leveling discs.

 

Place a leveling disk 3 mm (left) or 1 mm (right) underneath

Below are the images of the two types of leveling discs:

These leveling discs are placed under the pedestal.
Due to the resulting load on the supporting structure, they remain in place and no longer move.
If there are several leveling disks on top of each other – e.g. if there are very uneven areas – we recommend using an assembly adhesive to permanently fix the leveling disks.

The leveling discs can also be cut into up to 4 parts, for example to make particularly precise settings.
